Stuff which I hate about HCT

I am a student from HCT who is going to write about the college way which I really disagree with it. In this essay I will write about stuff which I don’t like about my college which really make me feel like I am a child.

HCT which is Higher College of Technology, I have been a student in this college for almost 2 years and right now I am in common year taking my final exams. My college is best in several way but there are some stuff which I don’t like about HCT. First of all, the college treat us like children. How? Absents, they just want the student to come to the college like in high school, come on now we all know what best for us and what the use of making it hard on us because some of us is not sponsored and they study at morning and afterwards they work till midnight and they don’t even get a chance to be with their family. Even though they are good with their marks but still college want them to come because it’s there policy and they don’t care if the guy have to divorce his wife for being busy not having time for her. Yet another thing which I don’t like about HCT is method of teaching, keeping teachers in a chain and not letting them teach the student in a free way. Following orders from someone who don’t know anything about the student while if the teacher was free to choose the method which she want then I guarantee that less student will fail because teachers know exactly what level is each student. One more thing is that the class rooms. It has less safety and if any one of them got in fire the all class will be in danger and even dead can be happen. Just spending lots of money for building those caravans while they can built class’s with that money which will be more safety and cooler.

I am not complaining while everything was provided free for locals student. Just giving my opinion about the college way and I am not a expert just want to say even I know nothing will change and everything will be same.

We born without knowing anything and we learn till we die. In my common year in engineering I have learned a lot of new stuff which I will be writing in this small letter as thanks for my favorite teacher Molly .

This year my English course was really exciting because of the new things I learn in this semester. First, I have learned more stuff about global warming and stuff which effect our planet. Yet another thing which I learned this year was about how to summaries an article at the beginning it was kind a hard bit now when I think about it I laugh at myself, because all what you have to do is to read and understand and write it in your own words. Next, I learn more about carbon footprint which was something really new and I didn’t knew that everything we does have a reaction to our planed. After knowing that I started thinking twice before doing anything and which really helped me to save lots of money. At the end we learn more about presenting and the speaking skills.

This year was something which I can’t ever forget. With all my classmates the moment which I spent with them is really something for me. While which make me sad is leaving a teacher like molly because she really saw me like her own son and helped me in every way she can and giving me chances to improve.

Task 7 My Footprint

In the last few years the rate of pollution has increased dramatically because of the life style. Everyone wants to live a very comfortable life and I were one of those people. I abuse my planet every day by doing my daily uses. In this essay I will write about the main problems which I face in my life which increase my footprint and solution to reduce it.

There are several important problems which lead to a huge carbon footprint. First of all, I don’t recycle stuff like papers, empty plastic bottles and cans. Yet another problem is that I use lots of water and electricity, and electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels such as coal, propane, natural gas, or heating oil(Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology). Next problem is transport. I use cars which have huge cylinders like V8,V6 which means cars burn petrol which eventually lead to a big carbon footprint(Reduce your carbon footprint). The last problem which I face is the amount of light bulbs for example in my room I have 10 bulbs while I just need 2 to make my room bright. Also the type of bulb I use is the one which uses a high amount of electricity(Re-think your lifestyle).

For every problem there is a solution and it’s never too late to make things right, and we all make mistakes, but that doesn’t mean we have to keep doing it. Time for me to change my habit and live a life which won’t hurt my planet and I don’t care if others will do the same just freeing myself from guilt. The first solution, if to start doing recycling stuff like cans, plastic bottle and papers(Re-think your lifestyle, Reduce your carbon footprint). Even I will stop buying the latest products like phone, TV, Electronic games and iPod. Yet another solution is that I will use less electricity and try to switch the light off the day time and reduce the amount of bulbs and choose the one which needs less energy. Next, I will use cars which have small cylinder like V4 and try to use public transport, letting my friends help each other. This way I will help my planet and myself reduce footprint and save my money which I spent on filling my patrol tank(Reduce your carbon footprint).

It’s not too late for me to change and I am sure if I follow these solutions I can make my life better, healthier and happier. I can change my future because it’s all depends on my will.

Cool Cities: Task 6

The world is going forward in a unbelievable way , were everyone want to have a standard life style. However this issue made the planet face a global warning by increasing the amount of CO2. World now planning for a new cities which called “Cool Cities” will it work in UAE. I am going to argue about the cool cities, whether I agree or disagree with this idea.

The cool city is a wonderful project which helps us to reduce the pollution, because people will be using less energy in these cities. However the life style will be effected by this cities. Were people have to use more public transport and there will be less energy to use. Leaving behind harmful gases and using clean energy which don’t cause problems to anyone (Cavanaugh).
However the population of the country is way too high and these cities can only hold 50 thousand people, what will be the population of the world in future. Next, cool cities need 22 billion dollar to build one, so countries with higher population will need lots of cool cities which will cost them trillions of money (Cheung).

The lifestyle need little change to better from worse and stop wasting lots of energy by changing our routine of life. We don’t need these cities to reduce to save our world because if we can’t change our habit no matter what we do to save our planet it useless.

In conclusion, these cities will be awesome idea if it was cheaper, provide suitable lifestyle for people, if had a better climate in UAE. However not everyone can afford living in these cool cities and it’s need lots of money so better think of a solution to reduce CO2. By doing recycle and recreate stuff.

Carbon Emission and Carbon Footprint: Energy Use

In this age, people are unaware that they are consuming the earth’s resources at an alarming rate. People generate CO2 from using an electric toothbrush, driving to work, boiling water and many other unexpected daily routines. When these actions are performed, a carbon footprint is emitted. This essay will explain what a carbon footprint is, the results of my test, and recommend some solutions to help reduce the earth’s natural resources consumption.
Carbon footprint is the total amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases emitted by a certain activity of a person or device. Each materials produce certain amount of CO2 while using it, while in our daily use we use lots of electricity and transport stuff which increase the footprint while we can reduce them by switching off the stuff we don’t need like the heater, lights, AC, lots of electronic stuff which we use in our daily life. Even we can use public transport in cities so that less private cars will be used between people.
I used 2 website to measure my carbon footprint. It was easy because we just have to click on the stuff which we use daily and it will get the mount of the CO2 percent a person use or leave behind. For example lots of people uses electricity lots, food and they spent on traveling and life style which leave a footprint behind.
Well I made a compare between four of my class mate and I was shocked to know I was having the highest percent of the footprint which was 3.63 planets which I use for daily usage. The second highest was Waleed who had 3.5 planets of footprint. We use around 60% on traveling and life style from our total use. Then comes Basel who had almost 3 planets and who was followed by khalil who had 2.93 planets. They were using computer games more than anything in their life. The lowest was Ali who had just 1.85 planets and the most his use was on travel because he lives outside the city.
In conclusion, lots of people in UAE uses lots of things which give a high percentage of footprint while we can reduce it without giving lots of effort and make it the limit we need.

An Inconvenient Truth

An inconvenient truth the movie which was a warning to the world about global warming. This movie had a great impact on public and helped to open there eyes to see the dangerous position which we were in or our planet, but some reviewers had some negative and positive opinion about the movie. Let me examine them for you and give my opinion.
Some of the negative reviewer mention that this is not about global warming it’s all about Al Gore. They don’t consider this as a movie because it had lots of slide show with high technology power point presentation, picture’s and chats. However the thing with his son had nothing to with the global warming and the way he was studying paper’s at plane, having picture of himself being in a serious mood wasn’t part of global warming neither, which was on the movie.” CHRIS VOGNAR”

The positive reviewer have a good expression on the movie and they said that they already knew these stuff but Al Gore bought everything together which opened there eyes and saw how dangerous we are in, planet. The amount of the Co2 on the air have been increased by last few year in a high rate. However lots of natural changes have been shown in the movie as a result of global warming and what this movie is pointing at is to stop global warming as fast as we can” Brian Orndorf”

In my opinion I am with Brian Orndorf thoughts and this movie had a great rule in opening people’s eyes towards global warming and I don’t think Al Gore done this movie for personal and I really think that he wanted to help our planet from dying with the help of media.

Global Warming

The movie AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, featured by Al Gore who was the former Vice President in United State who talk about the serious matter which is global warming and what could happen to our planet if we kept ignoring this problem.
Al Gore discuss about the important of the CO2 and other gases which warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping the solar heat in the atmosphere which is a good think because it keeps our planet warm. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas, oil and clearing forests we have increased the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and temperatures keep rising. There is no solution for it, just we can reduce the pollution which we are producing and try to use more clean gases so that we can help our planet from dying.
Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb. If we didn’t take actions fast before it gets to late then we will have to find a another place live or get ready to die and it’s a major problem which include all nations and living kind.

Inconvenient Truth

This video which is by Al Gorl who was a politician made this video about global warming. The film was made in 2005 and explains how dangerous we are in and it could be our end if we didn't react fast or else we would lose our place to live as human kind not us maybe our children’s or their children’s. so the problem is with the CO2 which is increasing the temperature of the earth and warm it. So by increasing amount of CO2 the earth will get hotter and hotter until it will become a place were no one can life on it. So the movie to wake up the people and telling them to wake up from there comfortable cars and well geared house’s which use a lot of energy and increase the green gases

I was born in 1988 in may 12 and I am only son in my family. So I get lots of love from every one around me kinda lucky guy. Dangerous Killer

AIDS is a dangerous killer which the world wide fighting against it. In fact, hundreds of those people die yearly due to AIDS. It is a very dangerous disease that until this very day these is no cure for it. AIDS is caused by a virus called Human Immunodefiuciency Virus. The HIV virus infects a human's immune system which makes it very hard to find a cure for it. The immune system plays a important role in a human's body because it protects the human's body from diseases. moreever, the immune system is a groub of hwite blood cells that kills any weird objects that enter a human's body to protect it. the danger occurs when the HIV virus starts to multiple and attak the white blood cells. as a result the immune system become weaker and not capable of protecting itself against the infection.
